From Flower to Finished Artwork

Every piece of Mon Petit Chou artwork begins with real flowers. I grow many of the flowers in my own garden and source others from local flower farms. Each bloom is traditionally pressed for four to six weeks before I arrange the flowers by hand into original botanical compositions.

My original framed artwork contains real pressed flowers. My greeting cards, stationery, art prints, and home accessories feature reproductions of these original designs, bringing the beauty of the botanicals into everyday life.

Where do your flowers come from?

Many of the flowers come from my own garden, and I source others from local flower farms. These real blooms are the starting point for every original composition.

How are the flowers pressed?

I use traditional flower presses, allowing approximately four to six weeks for the flowers to press and dry before I begin arranging them.

How is the artwork created?

Once the flowers are pressed, I arrange each botanical by hand into an original composition and secure it with archival glue. Every arrangement is created in my signature botanical style.

Are the flowers real?

Yes! My original framed artwork contains actual pressed flowers. My greeting cards, stationery, art prints, and home accessories are printed reproductions of these original designs, rather than pieces with flowers attached.

Is the artwork one of a kind?

Every original is unique, with its own hand-arranged composition of real botanicals. My printed products are open-edition reproductions of these original works.

How should I care for my artwork?

My original pieces are professionally framed with museum-quality archival materials, acid-free cotton matting, and 99% UV-protective conservation glass. To care for your artwork, display it away from direct sunlight, heat, and high humidity.

Do you accept commissions?

I occasionally accept commissions, depending on availability. These are artistic botanical compositions created in my signature style, rather than traditional bouquet preservation. If you have something in mind, please get in touch to ask about current availability.

Meet the Artist

After more than two decades creating memorable events, I discovered a new creative path through the timeless art of pressing flowers. What began as a personal creative outlet has grown into Mon Petit Chou Paper Co. a collection of botanical paper goods and artwork designed to help people celebrate life's everyday moments.

Every piece begins with real flowers, carefully preserved and thoughtfully arranged by hand in my Columbia, South Carolina studio.

Petals Are Our Palette

Each design starts with real flowers not paint or watercolor. Every bloom is carefully pressed, preserved, and individually placed by hand to create original botanical artwork before being professionally reproduced on stationery, art prints, and gifts.

It's a slow, thoughtful process that captures the beauty of nature in a way that can be enjoyed every day.
